Tree & Palm Trimming

Pruning, thinning, crown raising and palm skinning

Free EstimateNorth San Diego County · CA Lic. #945074

Good trimming makes a tree safer and healthier; bad trimming makes it weaker for years. We prune to the branch collar rather than leaving stubs, thin the canopy so wind can pass through it instead of pushing against it, raise the crown off roofs, driveways and sidewalks, and take out dead, crossing and rubbing wood. We do not top trees — it looks tidy for a season and then regrows as a mass of weakly attached shoots. Palms are a big part of our work across North County: dead fronds and seed pods removed, overgrown skirts cut back, and trunks skinned clean. Regular trimming is also the cheapest way to avoid an emergency call after a Santa Ana wind.

Our Process

1

Walk the Trees

We look at each tree with you, agree what is coming off and why, and price it before we start.

2

Climb or Lift

Our climbers work the canopy on ropes and harness, so there is no heavy equipment on your lawn.

3

Prune to the Collar

Every cut is made where the tree can seal it, which is what keeps a trimmed tree healthy.

4

Clean Up

Brush is chipped and hauled, and the ground under every tree is raked and blown clean.
